Christ calls us to love one another (1 Corinthians 13:13) and to be good citizens of our country (Romans 13:1-7). We are adhering to public health authority regulations regarding public assemblies. We are not panicking (1 John 4:18, 2 Timothy 1:7) but following guidelines to be as discerning (Proverbs 3:21-24) as we can in this situation.
Let us remain in contact with each other, be prayerful (Philippians 4:6-7), and attentive to the happenings in our country.
Be mindful of your neighbor’s needs, and if you are able, and have two of something, please give (Luke 3:11). If you need anything, then reach out to us.
If you venture out, then smile at people, and ask them how they are doing. Pray with them - be salt (Matthew 5:13) and light (Matthew 5:14, Ephesians 5:8).
None of our current events have shocked God or somehow caught him off-guard. As Jesus did when he taught on prayer, remember to acknowledge Him, "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen."
